As the founder and ED of another local nonprofit, I can offer the BrightStart Caledon Board team strong practical knowledge and skills in board governance, operational leadership, strategic planning, community relations, marketing and communications as well as human resources and fund development. When I was a newcomer first-time mom – many, many years ago – I wish I’d known about the wrap-around support BrightStart Caledon Family Centre provides. Parenting does not come with a manual; you just do the best you can but there are so many questions. Over the years, I have seen first- hand the difference this organization makes to ensure that children are nurtured and families flourish. I’m proud to be part of a caring and supportive board team, working to accomplish the organizations’ strategic priorities together.
