Late November is a very important time here at BrightStart Caledon Family Centre. Today (Nov. 20th) is National Child Day, marking the occasion when Canada adopted the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In addition, on November 27th BrightStart Caledon Family Centre will celebrate 37 years of providing programs, supports and services to children and families in Caledon! We have always recognized that our future is our children. When we work together to uphold children’s rights, support children and their families and give all children the right start in life, we grow as a community and as a country.
And so, we are delighted that Mayor Annette Groves, in recognition of both of those occasions and honouring the fact that healthy, vibrant communities help provide the environments that children need to succeed, has issued a Proclamation marking November 20, 2024 as National Child Day in the Town of Caledon.
