Teresa Colasanti, Executive Director

As Executive Director since 2013, Teresa is responsible for the overall operation of the organization, providing management, leadership and strategic direction. A relational leader, she is known for building strong ties with funders, partners, and community stakeholders, and for cultivating a supportive, inclusive organizational culture. Teresa’s journey with BrightStart Caledon began over 25 years ago as a volunteer, following a personal loss. Her desire to give back to the community led to a part-time role that eventually grew into the leadership position she holds today. A long-time yoga practitioner, Teresa finds balance and well-being in her practice—something that helps her manage the many competing demands of life and work.
